We aim to reduce stress and isolation to families with preschool children and provide a helping hand in a time of need. Some families may require help with household chores, such as a home cooked meal, a clean house or help with washing. Others are feeling the pressures of sleepless nights or dealing with illness either their own, a child or family member. Parents and caregivers use their time in with us in different ways. Some just want time out from their children or need to have a sleep for a couple of hours. I often put Mum to bed, catch up on chores, cook dinner and then settle the baby into bed leaving the home clean and both Mum and Bub sleeping.

Our Staff

We have a huge area to cover from the Puhoi tunnels to Paparoa in the north, coast to coast. We have six field workers to cover this area, each living in a different area to cut down on petrol costs.

Our staff will go to client's homes to help out with the client's individual needs. The benefit to the families would be less stress on the families as we can reduce their workload, leaving them more time to spend with their children or attend appointments which are important to their well-being.

We work with each individual to achieve their goals. We spend a minimum of 12 hours with each client, usually spending 2 hours per week. This enable our clients to make appointments or have chores prepared for our field worker to enable our time with them to be most productive.

All our workers are police vetted and hold a current first aid certificate.
